Mom Makeover — Good Housekeeping Philippines

It was just this April when I read about Good Housekeeping's Mom Makeover on Ms. MJ's blog - FrugalYetSoFab.

And as a work at home mom who barely go out for some self-pampering, I thought there's no harm in trying so I sent an e-mail to Good Housekeeping on why I deserve a makeover.

And to my surprise, just a month after, I received a text message from Ms. Maita de Jesus, Managing Editor of Good Housekeeping PH Magazine. I was chosen to be featured on the "mom makeover" section of the magazine. They gave me a schedule for my salon makeover and photo shoot.

May 16 — I went to Vivere Salon at Robinson's Galleria (Ortigas) for my FREE salon makeover.

It was such a wonderful experience. The staff were nice and accommodating. I'm also giving credits to the hair stylist for picking the right hair cut and hair color that suits me.

May 25 — I had to travel all the way to Darilag Studio in Mandaluyong for the photo shoot and I'm so happy to share this experience with my daughter, Janelle. She even took some pictures and videos while I prep up for the shoot. And for confidentiality, I was advised not to share any photos on social media yet and wait until the magazine is out.

I was also informed that my photos will be published on the Mom Makeover Section of Good Housekeeping Magazine either August, September or October issue. I'll keep you posted guys.

Do you also want a mom makeover? All you have to do is e-mail ghphils@summitmedia.com.ph.

Write a brief information about yourself. Attach your whole body picture, and tell them why you deserve a makeover. You may also check them out on Facebook at Good Housekeeping Philippines.
