Help A Public SPED Center Campaign

A child with special needs will inspire you to be a special kind of person.

I remember it was March 2016 when I decided to make an open letter on Facebook to reach out to a lot of people about the needs of the SPED center in Marcelo H. Del Pilar Memorial School in Bulakan. It was a success because two more teachers were added to our SPED program to support the growing enrollees of children with special needs, which was really my main objective. We only had one SPED teacher at that time catering to 70+ students and having two more SPED teachers, things have never been better.

This school year, the student's population have grown even more. From 85 kids with special needs last year, we are now officially at 100. Since one classroom will not be able to accommodate 100 students, the school library has now been given to the SPED program to serve as a secondary classroom. Unfortunately, the room requires more renovation to be properly equipped for the children's safety.

Since local funds are not enough to cover the expenses and needs of our center, I decided to do this simple gesture for the SPED center by making an online campaign to raise funds, and also as a commitment to raise awareness about our community.

I hope in 2 months time, we would be able to raise funds to have the renovation done as soon as possible to provide the students a well-equipped and safe classroom. They need your support and we are truly humble to accept any form of donations.

We've collected a total net donations worth ₱4,000 (less transaction fee). The donations were added to the school fund for the renovation of the classroom.
