For this week's "Brigada Eskwela" Project of the Department of Education, school officials, teachers, parents, students, and private organizations gathered in an effort to clean up school grounds and classrooms, repair school chairs, and give classrooms a fresh coat of paint for a cleaner environment for the youth.
As moms, cleanliness is one of our main concern knowing that classes will resume in about two weeks. I may not be physical present to help out during the Brigada Eskwela, I thought maybe there's other things I can do for the school.
As you know, my son's school — Marcelo H. Del Pilar Memorial School in San Nicolas — is really close to my heart. If you've been reading and following my blog, you should probably know why. A public school with a SPED program and regular students being educated about special kids, teachers trained on how to deal with kids with disabilities...I have too much respect for this school.
